Analysis
& Scope
At WCD Overseas, our journey begins with a deep analysis rooted in biomechanics, saddle ergonomics, and equine conformation. We go beyond trends to understand individual rider needs, horse anatomy, and usage disciplines. Our scope isn’t limited to saddle production—it encompasses horse-rider harmony, saddle-tree engineering, and comfort-first design. We define challenges with precision, ensuring every decision downstream supports long-term performance.
Project
design
Design is where tradition meets innovation. Using benchmark data from global saddle systems, our team prototypes saddles using CAD modeling and anatomical simulations. We test each concept virtually and physically with articulated horse models, ensuring biomechanical alignment. Each concept integrates form, function, and flow—refining flap angles, seat depth, and balance point to meet the rider’s demand while honoring the horse’s anatomy.
Specification
Phase
We align design specs with measurable rider outcomes. From foam density to leather grain orientation, every component is selected for purpose, longevity, and comfort. Specifications account for rider discipline (jumping, dressage, endurance), body posture, pressure mapping, and tree flexibility. Our documentation process ensures that custom orders and mass OEM runs deliver the same precision and performance.
Production
phase
WCD’s manufacturing combines artisanal skill with precision equipment. Every saddle passes through 40+ hand-check points, with master craftsmen stitching, assembling, and forming each piece. We source top-grade Indian leathers (grippy, chrome-free, and vegetable-tanned), injection-mold custom saddle trees, and custom gullet systems. CAD-to-production integration ensures that every prototype reflects its digital twin. This phase blends emotion with engineering.
Evaluation
Testing Segment
Performance isn’t assumed; it’s verified. Every saddle undergoes physical testing on live horsebacks and simulators. QA teams run multi-device browser testing for saddle configurators and run real-world stress tests: jumping impact absorption, flex point pressure control, and heat distribution under sustained riding. Our goal? Long rides. Low strain. High control. Seamless feel.
Each saddle—whether it's All Purpose, Dressage, Endurance, or Polo—is tested on live horses and articulated horse simulators. We simulate various disciplines to ensure tree strength, flap alignment, and panel pressure distribution match the demands of each riding style.
Our engineers run LS-DYNA simulations for load-bearing, impact, and torsional stress specific to saddle types. Jump take-offs, dressage precision, and polo pivoting are virtually tested to validate how each tree design behaves under real-world strain.
High-wear areas such as billets, seats, and knee rolls are pressure-tested for endurance. We assess how foam densities and leather grains perform across long rides, wet climates, and high-intensity disciplines like endurance and polo.
We localize every design—from girthing systems to flap shapes—to suit global rider profiles. Our saddles are built and tested to perform across European jumpers, Middle Eastern endurance riders, Australian stockmen, and South American polo athletes.
Success
WCD Overseas blends engineering precision with equestrian insight to craft world-class English saddles. From foam layering to anatomical load mapping, every piece is tested, tuned, and trusted by global riders. As India’s premier custom saddle manufacturer, we deliver excellence from prototype to production.
Awards
Recognized across global equine design forums, our innovation-first approach earns accolades—but our true reward lies in every rider’s performance and every horse’s freedom of movement. Our saddles don’t just function—they form legacies.
